Our working method

You have symptoms in your hand or wrist. Perhaps you already have a diagnosis from your doctor or a specialist. Maybe you don't. You can make an appointment with, or without a referral. Below you'll see how to do that, and how we get started.

Step 1: Make an appointment

Simply through the site

The fastest way to make an appointment is via the button on this website. We will send you an email with a proposal. Of course you can also leave a message on our voicemail, we will call you back as soon as possible, and schedule an appointment that way.

Step 2: Intake and treatment

We get right down to work together

Depending on your complaint, injury or condition, we get to work as soon as possible. The hand therapist focuses on your hand function and looks for the best methods in guiding you toward recovery. If a splint is needed, we will custom make it.

Step 3: feedback

Contact with your referrer

When you have been referred, we will seek contact with your referring physician if necessary. This can be, for example, to inform the general practitioner about the course and possible follow-up examinations by a specialist. We will stay in contact with your specialist during the rehabilitation process.

About Handtherapie Amsterdam

As hand therapy specialists, we follow treatment protocols and guidelines. But we never lose sight of the fact that you are always different from the norm. We do this from our small practices, right in the middle of town.

Making an appointment

You do not need a referral from your general practitioner for treatment: you can schedule an appointment right away.
